Join me in a quick paced quilt along using the SnowBell Prize Quilt pattern! My daughter’s teacher is having a baby soon. So, I wanted to make her a baby quilt. I think her last day will be before Winter Break, so I need to get working on this quilt. So, I thought a quilt along would help motivate me!

Grab the pattern and choose what size you’d like to make.
The pattern includes instructions for:  Baby (48 x 48 in), Lap (48 x 64 in), Throw (64 x 80 in), Full (80 x 96 in), Queen (96 x 112 in) and King (112 x 112 in).

Each week I will film a LIVE video in the Facebook Quilt Along group. If you can’t watch it LIVE it will be saved to the group and uploaded to my YouTube channel.

Hello there! This is my Seismic Impact Quilt! My son named this one, he thought the ripple effect looked like a Seismic Impact. I wanted to design a quilt that could be made in two colors or several colors. Also, I love designing quilts that aren’t super girly. My cousin is having a baby boy this fall and I will be gifting her this baby size quilt.

I found these beautiful fabrics in my stash and thought they’d be perfect for this quilt. The pattern is written so you can have 6 main colors with a background. I decided to use each of my colors twice with the gray background color.
I like how the fabrics look like solids from a distance, but up-close they have a print.

Fabrics: A & D: Andover Fabrics – Bumble Bee Basics Rain White,
B & E: Dear Stella – Dash Flow in Aruba,
C & F: Dear Stella – Dash Flow in Cobalt, and
G: Kona Cotton – Iron.

I quilted this one using the design as a guide. I lined my walking foot up on the seams so there is a quilting line abut 1/4 inch from the seams. I love how it turned out!

Here’s Snow’s SnowBell Prize quilt! You ask, ‘Why is it called SnowBell Prize’, you may be able to guess it. One of my daughter’s nicknames is SnowBell Prize. I wanted to make her a snowflake quilt that was fun and colorful!

When I had previously used this Andover Fabrics Rainbow Hearts and Stars fabrics for a different quilt, I thought it would make a perfect Snowflake fabric. We pulled colors from this fabric for the backgrounds of the blocks.

Fabrics used in cover photo: All Kona Cottons
A: Sangria, Pomegranate, Sassy Pink, Med. Pink, Orangeade, Mac and Cheese, Canary, Clover, Parrot, Jade, Green.
B: Nightfall, Royal, Malibu, Lagoon, Jamaica, Ice Frappe, Noble Purple, Mulberry, Violet and Grapemist.
C: Rainbow Hearts and Star fabric by Andover fabrics. (Unfortunately, I don’t think this is in print anymore)

The pattern includes instructions for:  Baby (48 x 48 in), Lap (48 x 64 in), Throw (64 x 80 in), Full (80 x 96 in), Queen (96 x 112 in) and King (112 x 112 in).
**You can make a TWIN size by adding a small border to the Throw size.

There are cutting instructions for:
2 main color option
3 main color option
Scrappy using Fat Quarters
Super Duper Scrappy

This pattern has 2 different Snowflake quilt blocks that can be made using yardage, fat quarters, or you can go super duper scrappy!

I quilted this by going diagonal through the blocks twice, horizontal twice and vertical twice. I was kind of going for a Snowflake quilting vibe.

I love pairing a Black and White binding with rainbow inspired quilts! I just so happened to find some black and white stripped binding already made in my fabric bins!
