SnowBell Prize QAL Week 3 – Block 1’s

It’s WEEK 3 of the SnowBell Prize Quilt Along! This week we will be making all of our Block 1’s. This means we will have some Flyng Geese and Hourglass units to make!

Once we are done making of these units, we can make our blocks. Since I am making the baby size, I only have 5 blocks this week.
Feel free to make the size quilt you would like!

I will be jumping on a LIVE Video this morning to go over Block 1! If you miss the LIVE video, it will be saved to my FB group and be uploaded to YouTube.

SnowBell Prize QAL Week 2 – Corner Units

It’s WEEK 2 of the SnowBell Prize Quilt Along! This week we will be making all of the corner units for all of our blocks. I like to make all of these units at once, since all of the blocks have them.

If you prefer making one block at a time, that’s great too! Decide how many blocks you want to complete this week and go for it!

First you will make half square triangles for each block. Make sure to trim them to the correct size. Then you can sew your units together.

SnowBell Prize QAL Week 1 – Cut Pieces

It’s time to grab our fabrics, press them and get to cutting! I’m making my daughter’s Teacher a baby boy quilt. This quilt along is very fast paced because I need to finish my quilt quickly. You can feel free to work at your own pace and take your time.

I prefer to cut all of my fabrics for all of my blocks all at once. Then I can get to sewing.
If you prefer to cut one block at a time, go for it! This may be an easier method if you are going super-duper scrappy.

SnowBell Prize Quilt Along!

Join me in a quick paced quilt along using the SnowBell Prize Quilt pattern! My daughter’s teacher is having a baby soon. So, I wanted to make her a baby quilt. I think her last day will be before Winter Break, so I need to get working on this quilt. So, I thought a quilt along would help motivate me!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Join my Facebook group and post your weekly progress photos
OR post your photos on Instagram with the hashtag #SnowBellPrizeQAL or Tag me in your photo!

Grab the pattern and choose what size you’d like to make.
The pattern includes instructions for:  Baby (48 x 48 in), Lap (48 x 64 in), Throw (64 x 80 in), Full (80 x 96 in), Queen (96 x 112 in) and King (112 x 112 in).

Each week I will film a LIVE video in the Facebook Quilt Along group. If you can’t watch it LIVE it will be saved to the group and uploaded to my YouTube channel.
